I am creating a new category because I just can’t not share the outrageous things I hear now that I’m out in the real world. I mean, I did hear things before, but now I hang out with a whole new group of people and the shock that hits my brain is so much more than it used to be. Many of these comments elicit no obvious response from me because one...I’m shocked into dumb silence and/or two, there just isn’t anything to say in response. I have to admit that only a couple of those listed below elicited an angry rebuttal. Those that I do challenge, I try hard to do it in a quiet let’s talk about this sort of way. I’m finding myself in a position of trying to educate those things that I think come from ignorance...but oh boy am I shocked more often than I care to admit.
