I am Karan from Olympia, WA. Almost every other name used here is a pseodonym pseudonim pseudonymn alias. The rest of it is true - mostly - and all of it is my own. Don't even think about taking any of it, unless of course, you want to pay me.

Father’s Day at the Oly Fountain

Father's Day at the Oly Fountain

Olympia has one of those pop up public fountains that is a big hit, especially with little
kids. My kids loved it...and so does my grandson. If you haven’t seen one of these kinetic
water sculptures, apparently random spurts of water shoot up and squirt the unexpected
yielding peals of laughter.  It is a delight to watch and it seems that it the only difference
between playing in it on hot days and cold is the amount of clothing you wear.

    El Jay turns 27

The newly single El Jay spent his big 2-7 on Saturday with his friends and we were relegated to a Sunday evening celebration.

    You know what this means?

    Yup.  He’s growing up!

Jay turned 17 months on the same day so we had a twofer.

Sunday’s family celebration involved trying out a new sports bar in town so we bundled up the tot and met Rejjie, El Jay and his roommate there and suffered through a too loud, too busy and too new eatery. The food was good...the atmosphere...too much for even me. Yes...I feel as old as those sentences sound. Like restaurant visits with our own toddlers back in the day, we made it through about half the meal before I just packed a way over stimulated Jay up and went home...much to the relief of the highly tipped waitstaff.  Jay was asleep before I was out of the parking lot.  El Jay made it through to dessert.

So, the age count for the kids in our family stands at 59, 57, 27, 22 and 17 months. What a spread!

    Jay and his blueberries

This is a recent photo of that little boy...no longer a baby...Jay.  This is how much
he loves blueberries...enough to kill with a single look if you interfere with the process,
even if the interference is only to take a picture.
